The Medical Council of India was established in 1934 and its function has been to check and maintain the quality of Medical Education being provided in various medical institutes of India.

Also, the Medical Council of India provides Permanent registration/provisional registration of doctors with recognised medical qualifications.

Doctors can apply for Registration, Additional Qualification, IMR & Good Standing Certificates between 3PM to 5PM on working days.
